Jennifer Barnhill, EA to Principal

Jennifer is a distinctively experienced tax professional and licensed Enrolled Agent with deep expertise in tax compliance and strategic planning for individuals, businesses, estates, and trusts. She is recognized for her thoughtful approach to complex tax matters, helping clients navigate challenges while optimizing efficiency and maintaining compliance.

With extensive experience serving clients in industries such as agriculture and ranching, oil and gas, and the restaurant industry, Jennifer delivers tailored tax solutions aligned with each client’s unique goals and operations. She also brings practical experience in multi-state tax considerations, supporting clients as their needs extend across jurisdictions.

Jennifer is deeply committed to building lasting relationships with both her clients and her community. She takes a collaborative, client-centered approach, prioritizing trust, responsiveness, and long-term value in every engagement.

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, including camping, fishing, and paddle boarding. She also enjoys golfing whenever she has the chance.

Madison Donnafield, SHRM-CP, to HR Supervisor

Madison began her human resources career at DWC in 2021, following her graduation from Colorado Mesa University. Madison leads the firm’s HR department and oversees the full employee experience across the organization. In her role, she partners with leadership and employees on initiatives related to talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, benefits, professional development, and strategic people initiatives. She is passionate about creating a positive workplace culture while supporting both employees and the long-term success of the firm.

Madison holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and earned her SHRM-CP credential in 2024. Outside of the firm, Madison is actively involved in the HR community and currently serves as President-Elect of the Western Colorado chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), where she supports the advancement and development of HR professionals throughout the region

Outside of work, Madison enjoys golfing, wine tasting, and watching Formula 1.

Maranda Cloer to Centralized Support Supervisor 

Originally from Grand Junction, Colorado, Maranda spent much of her childhood weekends, holidays, and summers in Meeker, Colorado. After spending a few years in San Antonio, Texas, she returned to the Grand Valley to attend Colorado Mesa University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minor in Business in 2017.

As Centralized Support Supervisor at DWC, Maranda enjoys working with clients from a variety of backgrounds. Drawing from her experience in the medical field, she has a particular appreciation for healthcare-related clients and also enjoys working with clients in the oil and gas industry.

Outside of work, Maranda owns and operates the Colorado Rebels, a 501(c) organization that has supported youth baseball players and teams throughout the region. She enjoys helping young athletes develop both on and off the field and is passionate about teaching her children the importance of leadership, perseverance, and pursuing their goals.

Alec Trotter to Audit Senior

Originally from Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Alec earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Accounting from Colorado Mesa University. He spent part of his early childhood living in Malta, a small island nation in the Mediterranean Sea, before returning to Colorado.

Alec has experience providing assurance and accounting services such as financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, and client accounting services to clients in various industries, with a particular focus on construction companies and fire districts. He is a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs (COCPA). Outside of work, Alec enjoys being in the outdoors, with dirt biking, mountain biking, skiing/snowboarding, golf, and camping. He also plays the guitar when he has a chance, and he loves spending time with friends and family.

 

Kayla Williams to Audit Senior

A Western Colorado native, Kayla earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Accounting with a minor in Business Administration from Colorado Mesa University. As a member of DWC’s Client Accounting Services (CAS) team, she works with a wide range of clients, from small businesses to multi-million-dollar companies. She provides accounting support tailored to each client’s unique needs, including day-to-day accounting functions, forecasting, strategic planning, financial reporting, sales tax, and payroll compliance. She serves clients across a variety of industries, including retail, construction, healthcare, real estate, legal services, restaurants, and breweries.

Kayla previously volunteered with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program and participated in the Colorado Mesa University Lighthouse Mentoring Program and Springboard Fellowship. She is currently pursuing CPA licensure and has completed half of the CPA exam requirements.

Meghan Foster to Bookkeeping Senior 

Raised in a military family, Meghan lived in several states growing up, including California, Florida, Washington, Oregon, and Colorado. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Accounting from Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado.

As a bookkeeper at DWC, Meghan primarily works with nonprofit and agricultural clients, assisting with their bookkeeping and accounting needs. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the Colorado Society of CPAs (COCPA), and the BDO Alliance. Additionally, Meghan is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, holding both Level 1 and Level 2 certifications. Outside of work, Meghan enjoys spending time with family, golfing, traveling, and going to sporting events, mainly football and baseball.

 

Gabriel Saturno to Tax Senior 

Originally from Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brazil, Gabriel attended Western Nebraska Community College and Colorado Mesa University, where he was a member of the varsity soccer team at both institutions. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Colorado Mesa University in 2023.

At DWC, Gabriel enjoys working with construction businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individuals with international tax matters

 

 

Remington McLean to Tax Senior 

A Fruita native, Remington has lived in the Grand Valley his entire life. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Colorado Mesa University.

As a Tax Senior at DWC, Remington works with individual, business, and nonprofit tax returns. He particularly enjoys working with nonprofit organizations and values the opportunity to support organizations that make a positive impact in the community. Remington is a member of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (COCPA).

Outside of serving clients, he enjoys expanding his technical knowledge in tax and accounting and staying current with changes in tax law.

Shelby Geisert to Tax Senior

Originally from Golden, Colorado, Shelby earned an Associate of Applied Science in Accounting and an Associate of Arts in Business from Red Rocks Community College. At DWC, she primarily works with real estate clients and retirees, with experience preparing rental-related returns and assisting clients with tax resolution matters.

Outside of work, Shelby is a member of the Lutheran Church and School of Messiah and plays alto saxophone in the Grand Junction Centennial Band. She has been a musician for 18 years.
