Ralph A. “Buck” Miller, CPA, CVA

Professional Experience

Buck’s public accounting and advisory career spans four decades with DWC. He served as the principal-in-charge-of-the-local-office for Montrose for much of his career and was responsible for the overall management, general administration, personnel, and fiscal oversight of the office.

Living through and serving clients during the many “busts and booms” of western Colorado has provided Buck with extensive experience in all areas of business taxation, including real estate and real estate development, choice of entity, partnerships and LLC’s, corporations and S-corporations, as well as all aspects of individual income taxation. Buck regularly provides consultation in such areas as estate planning, succession planning, personal financial planning, tax planning, and strategic planning. Buck was awarded the designation of Certified Valuation Analyst in 2010 and provides valuation services in a variety of areas.

Curious at heart, Buck is an avid audio book listener and constant learner. Topics on history, humans, and life in general gives him perspective as to how things have come to be the way they are. “It’s like life is a giant puzzle and I’m slowly fitting the pieces together. I love it when I find something new that helps tie the loose ends together.” Buck’s other hobbies include golf, football, and volunteering on various community economic development boards and civic groups. Watching the Montrose community grow for many years and helping clients through the good times and bad has enabled Buck to connect with people, learn about their individual situations, and help them with personalized solutions.
