DWC CPAs and Advisors (formerly Dalby, Wendland & Co., P.C.) began in 1948 with two forward-thinking accountants, Walter Dalby and Wes Wendland, who believed that western Colorado businesses deserved the same level of financial expertise found in larger cities. From a small office rooted in community values, they built a firm based on trust, relationships, and a commitment to doing what’s right for clients.

As the region grew, so did we. Generations of professionals carried forward Walter and Wes’s legacy, expanding our reach, our expertise, and the services our clients rely on. In 2023, we embraced a new name, DWC CPAs and Advisors, to reflect the modern, growing organization we are today and the broader advisory role we play for businesses and individuals across the Colorado and nationally.
What began as a local firm with a big vision has grown into one of the region’s leading accounting and advisory organizations, consistently recognized for our excellence and dedication. DWC CPAs and Advisors is an independent member of the BDO Alliance USA, a nationwide association of independently-owned local and regional accounting, consulting, and service firms with similar client service goals.
