DWC CPAs and Advisors is pleased to announce its professionals who recently attained certifications as Certified Public Accountant and Enrolled Agent.
Ana Partas Hurlburt, Sydney Trichler, and Paul Vejraska recently attained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and Colorado licensing after passing the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination. Set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Uniform CPA Examination protects the public interest by helping to ensure that only qualified individuals become licensed as U.S. Certified Public Accountants.
Seth Knighton attained the designation of Enrolled Agent (EA), which is the highest credential awarded by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). EA designation is considered a tax specialist. It gives the authority to represent taxpayers before the IRS and EAs are unrestricted as to which taxpayers they can represent, what type of tax matters they can handle, and which IRS offices they can represent clients before. EAs are licensed on a federal level.

Paul Vejraska started with DWC as an intern in 2021 and transitioned to a full-time accountant role in 2022. He grew up in Grand Junction and graduated from Colorado Mesa University with a B.S. in public accounting and a professional certificate in real estate. As a senior tax accountant, Paul’s interest in real estate has led him to primarily work with investors and farm and ranch clients. He has also gained considerable expertise in family partnerships. He is a professional member of the American Institute of CPAs and Colorado Society of CPAs.
Seth Knighton began his accounting career with DWC’s tax office in 2017. Now a tax supervisor, he has had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients across various industries. Seth has attained expertise in trusts and estates and is passionate about supporting clients in real estate, automotive, and healthcare sectors. Seth also cares deeply about fostering the future of accounting by supporting the training of new staff, and participating in events that help Colorado Mesa University students network with local accountants.
In addition to his client work, Seth is actively involved in his local and professional community. He is a member of several professional associations such as the Colorado Mesa University Grand Valley Young Alumni Chapter and the Young Professionals’ Network of Mesa County.
DWC congratulates Ana, Sydney, Paul, and Seth—we are so proud of your achievement!
