DWC CPAs and Advisors is pleased to announce that Zane L. Haas has recently earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and obtained Colorado licensure after successfully passing the Uniform CPA Examination. Established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Uniform CPA Examination protects the public interest by ensuring that only qualified individuals become licensed as U.S. Certified Public Accountants.
Originally from Palisade, Colorado, Zane earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an accounting concentration and his Master’s in Accountancy from Colorado State University. He joined DWC’s audit and assurance team in September 2024. Zane has experience in providing assurance and accounting services such as financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, and client accounting services to clients in various industries, including financial institutions, companies in the oil and gas industry, and non-profit organizations.
To attain a CPA license, qualified applicants must pass a four-part exam with 14 hours of testing in auditing and attestation, business environment and concepts, financial accounting and reporting, and regulation. The test is one of four requirements to attain CPA licensure in Colorado – education, ethics discipline, and experience are also needed. To maintain the CPA certification, licensees are required to take annual continuing professional education courses and other opportunities for professional development.
DWC CPAs and Advisors take great pride in supporting the professional growth and development of its employees. We extend our congratulations and sincere thanks to Zane for his commitment to continuous improvement, which will undoubtedly enhance the experience of both our team members and clients.
